Finale Concert: LGBA Annual Conference 2018

Kansas City’s Mid America Freedom Band serves as the host organization for the 2018 Lesbian and Gay Band Association Annual Conference. Up to 400 LGBTQ and allied band musicians from the 30+ member bands will perform in two massed concert bands. Taking its title from the immortal line from The Wizard of Oz, “There’s No Place Like Home” will feature composers such as Chen Yi, Randall Standridge, Derek M. Jenkins, Ingrid Stölzel, Carlos Surinach, Aleks Sternfeld-Dunn, Daniel Morel, Claude T. Smith, Harold Arlen, and more.
