Challenge Brass Band was created in 1987 by Mr Peter Tuck OAM Cit WA. Originally for disabled and able bodied Musicians of all levels and abilities to come together and do something they thought they might not be able to do.

We continue to welcome players of all ages and abilities who have an love for music. We have a Training band for those who are a bit rusty or are wanting to learn how to play a new instrument and our main band is for more confident players.

We take pride in being an inclusive group for all and are happy to have several out and proud members of the LGBTQIA+ family and welcome any other musicians who identify to join the band. For the first time in 2021, the band participated in Perth’s Pride Parade. It was very exciting for us to be a part of this celebration and have included it as one of our Annual events.

We are dedicated to our community so of course we participate in many community events each year, such as Anzac Day services, the Wanneroo Agricultural Show, Citizenship Ceremonies & Christmas Carols.

We compete in the National & State Championships, currently in D Grade and also put on our own Annual Concerts and performances.
